Come one and come all to the 23rd Annual Hank Aaron State Trail 5k Run/Walk!

The Hank Aaron State Trail 5K attracts more than 1,500 people of all abilities each year. It has a reputation as a family-friendly community event that introduces people to the trail and is a high-quality, chip-timed event with a fast and flat course. The run/walk format is welcoming to all and the popularity of teams makes this an extra fun event to do with friends or coworkers!
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
- Enjoy coffee, tea, and cookies from Colectivo upon arrival 
- Great live DJ music from DJ Rick will keep your feet moving even after you finish the 5K! 
- Beautiful route through Three Bridges Park crossing the Menomonee River, through restored prairie and providing a dramatic view of American Family Field in the home stretch 
- Use hashtag #2023Hank5k to post your pictures! 
- All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt 
- Replenish after the 5K with ice cream and bananas at the finish line 
- Family-friendly, strollers welcome 
- Prizes for teams and top 3 male and female runners in fifteen age categories 
- Proceeds benefit the trail and will send kids to Bike Adventure Camp this summer 
- Race results are available on the day of the event 
- Teams of 8 or more get a registration deal AND customized t-shirts with your team name! Also eligible for team prizes! 
- Race proceeds support ALL major initiatives of the Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail 
Race proceeds support all major initiatives of the Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail, including:
- Sending kids to Bike Adventure Camp each summer 
- Organizing Stew Crews that keep the trail clean from spring through fall 
- Art and maintenance along the trail such as our most recent project, the People of the Road Monument.
