Join us for a special Valley Week edition of the sunset kayak tour. We’ll enjoy a relaxed paddle on the Menomonee River until sunset where we’ll peek into the history of Milwaukee with a backdrop of the Valley and imagine what is yet to come on the banks of the Menomonee River. We’ll show you a couple canals you likely haven’t seen so you can explore them in the future and show you some destinations on Milwaukee’s least traveled river. At the turnaround, we’ll grab a beverage to go from City Lights Brewing and switch on our headlamps to enjoy a moonlit trip back past the Harley-Davidson Museum® and other sights.
Milwaukee Kayak Company tours are safe, fun and educational. They are perfect for anyone looking to experience the sport of kayaking either solo or with friends, make a nice outing for family and friends and makes the perfect date night too!
Space is limited, pre-registration is required. .
Cost: $35 per person or $65 for a tandem; $15 will be donated back to Menomonee Valley Partners

Timeline:
5:15pm: Please arrive to Milwaukee Kayak Company before or at 5:15pm
5:15-5:45pm: Introduction, instruction and fitting
5:45pm: Launch from Milwaukee Kayak Comany
7:45/8pm: Arrive back to Milwaukee Kayak Company dock
What to bring:

Water bottle filled with water
Small coolers okay
Dress for the weather – consider bringing a windbreaker (do not wear jeans or heavy cotton)
Camera
ID
A headlamp or two (we have extras)
What we’ll provide:
Kayak
Life jacket
Paddle
Dry-bag (we have a limited supply available)
Water, snacks and sunscreen are always on-hand if you forget yours
Safe and fun atmosphere
Staff from Menomonee Valley Partners and Milwaukee Kayak Company will paddle with the group.
What to wear:
Lightweight clothing (do not wear jeans or heavy cotton)
Sandals, flips or shoes with a thin sole
Rain jacket/windbreaker
Sunglasses and/or hat
What to expect:
We will paddle as a group. We will launch together, paddle upriver as time allows, and then paddle back to our dock. These trips are safe, fun and educational. Staff from Menomonee Valley Partners and Milwaukee Kayak Company will paddle with the group.
Upon arrival:
We will check you in.
We will outfit you with the proper kayak, life jacket, and paddle.
We will go over introductions, information, and rules of the river.
Life jackets must be worn at all times when you’re near or on the river.
