Join us for Doors Open 2025 in the Valley!
Learn about the historic St. Paul Avenue and how you can fulfill all your home and commercial design needs here in the Design District!

Doors Open Milwaukee is a two-day public celebration of Milwaukee’s art, architecture, culture, & history.
When Milwaukee was the Machine Shop of the World, the Menomonee River Valley was its engine. The Valley was a prime location for industry because of its easy access to the railway and canal network. St. Paul Ave. has a rich collection of more than 20 historic industrial buildings.
Today there's a group of locally owned businesses that are part of the growing St. Paul Avenue Design District. They are renovating historic buildings and repurposing them to showcase furniture, lighting, decorative stone, antiques, and more. Join Menomonee Valley Partners on a stroll through the street’s history, visit a couple of the businesses, and hear how this street transformed over the last 100 years.
The tour is a one-way, seven-block walk using city sidewalks starting at Brass Light Gallery (1101 St. Paul Ave.) and ending at Riverview Antique Market (2045 St. Paul Ave.). Street parking is available. The walk will be postponed in the event of rain.
